Rolf Luft Foundation for Diabetes Research is completely dependent on gifts and legacies for its activities. The contributions go to support diabetes research.
Rolf Luft’s Foundation for Diabetes Research was established in 2004 with the primary goal to support research into diabetes and its sequelae. With your gift, you can make a difference to those affected by diabetes and also help prevent more people from contracting the disease.
The foundation’s operations are mostly managed on a non-profit basis. All financial contributions go to support the Rolf Luft Award, scholarships to young researchers, and soon also to lectures/webinars for the public about news in diabetes research and treatment.
How do I donate?
A. TO SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION AND “ROLF LUFT AWARD”
As a private person or organization, you may donate financially to the foundation, and support the Rolf Luft Award in particular, through any of the three ways below:
- By deposit to Rolf Luft Foundation for Diabetes Research’s 90-account via Bankgiro: 900-9812 (Svenska Handelsbanken). The deposit can be made at your physical bank or your internet bank, and as a one-time donation or a continuous transfer via autogiro.

As a private person or organization, you may donate financially to the foundation, and support the Kerstin Brismar Award in particular, through any of the three ways below:

C. OTHER WAYS TO DONATE
You can also support the foundation through the following ways:
- Give a Memorial or Gift Card: Welcome to purchase a greeting or memorial card of any amount (upon payment to the Foundation). (See Gift cards below.)
- Inheritance and wills: Many people wish to donate to diabetes research in their wills. If so, welcome to email us at: info@luftdiabetesfoundation.se.
- Make a donation to our scholarships: If you wish to support our scholarships to young diabetes researchers for studies in a particular area of diabetes research, you are welcome to contribute through a donation to this cause. If your donation amounts to more than SEK 50,000 and covers an entire scholarship, the scholarship will be named after you. Please email us at info@luftdiabetesfoundation.se for further information.
- Buy a lithograph: The artist Bo Åke Adamsson has created a painting “Three generations” for the benefit of diabetes research. We sell this as a lithograph. The lithograph measures 78 cm x 62 cm and costs SEK 4,300. Delivery takes place after the amount has been deposited into our Bankgiro: 900-9812. Please mark the payment “lithograph” and enter the address where the lithograph is to be sent.

From April 1st, 2026, the foundation has two 90-accounts for charitable donations. Our activities are hereby controlled by Svensk Insamlingskontroll.
A lithograph by artist Bo-Åke Adamsson can be purchased as a gift. The amount will be transferred as a donation to the foundation.
